I, along with a number of other authors, participated in a book fair at the Discovery Lane Preschool on Saturday and I enjoyed it very much.

As I spoke with the children and their parents, I felt a part of an important endeavor. Being that we’re in the technological age, video games and electronic tablets are par for the course these days. So to see so many young children talking about books and selecting books to purchase was very encouraging as well as a humbling experience for me.

This was my first time participating in a children’s book fair and I look forward to more. I’m happy that we, as society, can each do our part in some small way, to instill a love of reading into the next generation.
