I just got finished reading, Hireath, by Jennifer Leigh Pezzano on Kindle Vella. I can’t say that I knew what the title meant at the beginning. I thought it would be a woman’s name. At the conclusion of the story, I now know what it means And I understand.

I loved this story! It’s set in the future, in the year 3017. Life is colorless and scary. It is a futuristic story but not in the way I thought it would be. The story is taut and full of dangers of the world as it has become.

I really hate spoilers so that’s all I’ll say regarding what the story was about. I will say that it was thought-provoking, gripping, you-name-it. I was upset several times while reading it and toward the end, I was actually mad. The author knows a lot about the outdoors. I felt as if I was there with the characters. Ms. Pezzano’s tale and the way she wove it was poetic indeed. It’s a story worth reading.
